Understanding Logic Gates

AND Gate: Output is 1 (TRUE) only when BOTH inputs are 1. Think "A AND B must be true"
OR Gate: Output is 1 (TRUE) when AT LEAST ONE input is 1. Think "A OR B (or both) must be true"
NOT Gate: Output is the opposite of the input. If input is 1, output is 0, and vice versa
